Ping

Ping is Andy's new workstation, used for development too.

There's an AMD64 3000+ processor at the core of Ping, together with 1GB of Dual-Channel DDR RAM and 160GB of disk space (SATA). There's also an ATI video card on board, and a DVD burner.

Ping will dual-boot between FreeBSD 5-STABLE and SuSE 9.2 Professional (both 64-bit versions), but most of the time it will be in FreeBSD. If I need to use an alternative operating system on it, I will run it under an emulator.

Ping will be used for several tasks including my everyday work, and I also help prepare to KDE for use on FreeBSD, together with the rest of the KDE-FreeBSD Team.
